Prishita Maheshwari
Prishita, 12 years old, plays the violin and piano, and sings. Since her first lesson just two and a half years ago, playing the violin has become one of her main passions in life. She is a member of the Junior RNCM where she plays in the String orchestra and quartet, and also studies aural and harmony.
Prishita is a member of the Under 13 NCO, and has also performed with the National Children's Chamber Orchestra. She also plays for her school's Senior Orchestra and the Nottingham Youth Orchestra. She has performed in many venues with various orchestras and ensembles, and this year will perform at the Leeds Town Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
Prishita won the string solo class at the 2009 Lincoln Music Festival, and she was also the youngest ever recipient of the Southwell Choral Society's Music Award and the Peggy Oldham Award, awarded to a talented musician up to the age of 25.
She loves reading, swimming and art. At school her favourite subjects are Chemistry, French, Biology, English and Maths, and she has recently won an award for academic acheivement!
