When Faz first came to the attention of Future Talent, it was as a finalist in the Future Champions auditions in Greater Manchester.  Although he narrowly missed out on a bursary, Future Talent are keen to help Faz achieve his goals, and we are currently funding his piano lessons.

Faz first began playing the violin at 6 years old, and now, at 16, plays a whole range of instruments including piano, drums and beatboxing.  He is a member of the Hallé Youth Orchestra and Oldham Youth and Chamber Orchestras & String Quartet.

Faz likes to make his own music, blending classical with HipHop, and has played alongside other urban artists at Salford Quays, The Roadhouse and the Bridgewater hall in collaboration with GMMAZ.  In addition to this, he is a keen actor and has appeared in several productions which were showcased in the northwest with Peshkar Theatre Group.  He has also appeared with the Hallé Orchestra as a beatboxer in a series of UK concerts.

To see Faz in action at Ronnie Scott's last November, including a fantastic rendition of "Fly Me To The Moon" click here.

"My aspirations are to pursue a career in music... I would like to offer tuition in music and set up my own projects involving youth, and give them an opportunity to perform and play different genres of music.  I also want to perform, record and produce my own music, which will be a collaboration between different genres, including R&B, rap music with violins and instruments that are usually used in other countries, such as the rahab from Afghanistan and the dhol from the Indian subcontinent."
