Stella is in her fourth year at the Junior RAM, where she studies violin at grade 8 and above as well as piano at grade 7. Stella very much enjoys participating in the Academy's chamber groups, orchestras, choir and supporting studies classes. In her spare time she plays harpsichord and organ.
In summer 2009, Stella took part in Pro Corda's Chamber Music course and this was followed in the autumn with the English Schools' Orchestra course which ended with a concert in Southwark Cathedral, London.
More recently, Stella was 'very highly commended' in the intermediate class of the John McAslan Violin Prize which was held at the Academy. Stella has been involved in fund-raising gigs for local charities and in a variety of musical activities at her grammar school.
Stella plays a violin by Christopher Rowe, which is on kind loan from the Benslow Music Trust.
