Costas Hadjineophytou
Costas is a student at the RAM (Junior Department) where he studies cello and piano and will be taking his grade 8 cello exam shortly followed by grade 5 piano. Within the last year Costas has performed a concert with his school at The Barbican in London featuring Shlomo and John Etheridge. He then went on to take part in Pro Corda's Chamber Music course in Cumbria and this was followed by the English Schools' Orchestra course in Hertfordshire, which culminated in a concert in Southwark Cathedral.
Costas successfully participated in a master class held by Professor David Strange, the Head of Strings at the RAM. Costas regularly performs in his school's senior and chamber orchestras, in the Academy's numerous concerts and alongside his siblings in local fundraising events.
Costas plays a full-size cello which has been loaned to him by the Benslow Music Trust and he is extremely happy to be the new owner of a full-size cello bow, which he has just purchased with the assistance of Future Talent. The new bow will now give him the opportunity to fine-tune his playing.
