Thomas Hurst

Thomas started playing the trumpet when he was six, and joined his first musical ensemble just a few months later. He has been a member of nineteen different bands, choirs and orchestras.
At the age of twelve, Thomas became Principal Trumpet in Bolton Youth Orchestra and Bolton Youth Concert Band. Still only 14, he also plays lead trumpet in Bolton Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Thomas has played in many countries, including America, Holland, France, Germany and Ireland. He won the Future Champions Silver award for Bolton in 2008, and is extremely grateful to Future Talent for funding the purchase of two first class trumpets. He hopes that these will help him achieve his ambition of attending one of the country's leading Music Conservatoires in a few years time.
