Catherine Cropper
Catherine Cropper was born in Bolton in 1994. From an early age she developed an interest in music, particularly singing. She joined the Little Lever Training Choir in 2001 and then moved on to the Bolton Junior Youth Choir, of which she was a member for four years. She participated in the choir's successful progress through the national Music for Youth choral competition in 2005, which they won in the national finals, going on to participate in a Youth Prom.
Catherine is currently a member of the Bolton Youth Choir and Bolton Youth Harmonies. She also plays the violin in the Bolton Junior Youth Orchestra and is studying for her Grade 5 in this instrument.
A Year 10 pupil at Little Lever School, Catherine is very interested in musical theatre, and has taken part in school productions including Bugsy Malone and Brenda Bly. She has recently performed the title role in Annie and her other interests include writing fiction, art, dancing and photography.
Catherine won the bronze award for the Bolton area. She hopes to combine her singing with drama and dance to develop a career in musical theatre. Her greatest ambition is to participate in West End shows.
