Adam O'Shea

Adam is 16 and has been performing publicly since he was seven years old.  Encouraged by his primary school, he started receiving voice lessons at the Rochdale Music Service and joined the Junior Choir, and then the Rochdale Boys' Choir.  For the final of the Future Champions award Adam both sang and played the piano, winning the 2009 Gold Award for the Rochdale area.

Since 2004 Adam has been a member of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.  He has entered festivals and competitions for a range of piano and vocal classes, including classical, choral and pop, winning several trophies for his performances.

In December of 2006 and 2007 Adam was the young soloist in the Young Voices Concerts (working on behalf of the CLIC Sargent charity) and performed in many national venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the O2 Arena, as well as venues in Dublin and Belfast.  As a member of a young male quartet called Just Four Adam reached the finals of Music for Youth in Birmingham.

Adam has achieved several grades in music, including 100% at Grade 6 Musical Theatre in 2007 and 95% at Grade 7 in 2008.  He has recently been offered a place at Chethams School of Music to study voice and piano, and wishes to pursue a professional career in music.
