Edward Tomanek
Edward started playing the piano at 3 years old and within a month he also began violin lessons as well. Soon, he has won a place in the National Children’s String Sinfonia. Edward has been particularly inspired by his participation in the Harpenden Musicale Holidays, which gave him his first real experience of playing with an orchestra.
Edward achieved grade 8 with distinction on the Violin just before his 7th birthday in January 2010. He also has achieved grade 5 with distinction on the Piano and passed his grade 5 theory. From January 2010 Edward has lessons with his new teacher Julia Nickolau at Kings College School in Cambridge.
Edward says “I like about music that you can paint a picture with it”. He likes the challenge of working to play “real” music, not just the notes.
Edward has many ambitions; he also likes science, reading, languages and different sports, but in music he wants to eventually become a virtuoso.
Future Talent is proud to help support Edward on his way to achieving this goal by funding his violin lessons.
