Future Talent has just celebrated its 5^th birthday and is currently experiencing a period of considerable growth and development. New initiatives have allowed us to quadruple the number of talented young musicians we have taken on in the last 18 months – a fantastic achievement in such a short space of time!
Our project work has also increased. May, saw the announcement of the second set of Future Talent Champions, our Manchester-based project, run in conjunction with the Hallé’s Education Department. Since the project launched, we have given awards to six extremely talented musicians from the boroughs of Bolton and Oldham and Rochdale, all of whom have benefitted hugely from the opportunities they have been given through Future Talent. September marked the beginning of our second academic year of work in Oxfordshire with our Future Talent Young Achievers project, which is going extremely well. These two projects are running alongside our pre-existing projects in East Yorkshire (Future Talent North Stars) and East London (Future Talent EastEnd Artists).
