Vacancy for Administration Assistant

We are looking for an Administration Assistant to provide general office support to the Future Talent team over the next few months.  The role will primarily focus on supporting the Mentoring, Advice and Bursary Programme, in particular helping to organise our forthcoming Orchestral Day in November 2017.

This is a temporary part-time position starting on Thursday 14 September 2017 until Monday 20 November 2017, with a possibility to extend.

Concerts at Eton College and Hertford Theatre

Over the last few months a number of Future Talent Musicians have participated in two successful concerts at Eton College’s beautiful School Hall and the fantastic Hertford Theatre.

Welcome to our new Musicians

We are delighted to announce that we will be supporting over 50 young musicians as part of our 2017/18 Programme. We closed the application process in January and, after a difficult and lengthy shortlisting stage, were able to invite a select number of exceptionally gifted musicians to audition at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Coombs Scholarship Final

On Tuesday 29 November Future Talent Musicians Ashby, Elodie, Zac, Robert, Xander and Micah took part in the Coombs Scholarship Final at Holland Park School, London.

Each musician played two contrasting pieces for a panel of four judges: Future Talent Patron and previous BBC Young Musician of the Year winner Guy Johnston, composer and clarinettist Mark Simpson, Artistic Director and Head of Brass at the Royal Academy of Music, Mark David, and ex-Future Talent Trustee Jessica Brennan, who also ran BBC Young Musician of the Year for 11 years.
