A Festive Future Talent concert
On a very cold but beautifully sunny December afternoon, Future Talent welcomed guests to Hovingham Hall in North Yorkshire to showcase musicians we are funding in Yorkshire, East Lincolnshire and beyond.
The sell-out concert featured a varied programme including Hull-based cellist Josh Salter playing some Fauré and Shostakovich and singer Will Gosnold, who actually lives in Hovingham performed repertoire from Britten and Handel. Pupils from Wansbeck and Longhill Primary School in Hull entertained the audience with a selection of Christmas songs and 6-year old Edward Tomanek-Volynets wowed the audience with performances both on piano and violin.
The concert was followed by an auction led by local auctioneer Adam Schoen with lots being generously donated by Robert Thompson Craftsmen and Calvert Carpets. The afternoon ended with a mingle over refreshments in the wonderful setting of the Hall.
