Future Talent’s Flagship Concert 2013

Future Talent musicians perform alongside Patron and ‘Cellist Guy Johnston, with guest appearance by Rory Bremner.

At the end of November we hosted our annual flagship concert at St George’s Church, Hanover Square.  Guy Johnston spent the day mentoring some of our Future Talent musicians before performing with them in the evening concert.

The concert was kicked off by comedy performer Rory Bremner and some of his celebrity friends; Barack Obama, Boris Johnson and Prince Charles to name a few, before our musicians took to the stage.

The performers came together for the first time that day and gave outstanding performances of Corelli’s Concerto Grosso in G minor, Op. 6, No.8 and Vivaldi’s Concerto for two ‘Cellos in G minor, as well as wonderful solo and duet performances.

The evening raised a total of £1,747.  We would like to thank our Future Talent musicians: Georgina Bloomfield, Helena Buckie, Willard Carter, Felix Hughes, Toby Hughes and Mark Reinski, and supporting players including students from the Royal Academy of Music.

With special thanks to Guy Johnston, Rory Bremner and accompanist John Alley.
