Future Talent Musicians reflect on their day at Wormsley
Violinist Poppy McGhee and singer Myrna Tennant entertained our guests at Wormsley Cricket on 12 June, with beautiful live performances during lunch and afternoon tea. They received many compliments from guests and Trustees.
Poppy was the first to perform and played Méditation from Thaïs by Jules Massenet, followed by Remembrances from Schindler’s List by John Williams. Poppy said:
“I had a lovely time on Thursday [at Wormsley]. I made friends with a dog called Sid and I will always remember my special day. Thank you Future Talent”
Myrna then performed whilst guests enjoyed afternoon tea. She sang Nymphs & Shepherds by Henry Purcell, The Last Rose of Summer by Benjamin Britten and Oh had I Jubal’s Lyre by George Frideric Handel.
“ I am so grateful to Future Talent for giving me the opportunity to perform at the Wormsley Cricket Event, it was such a new and exciting experience for me. The beautiful weather and the stunning location made it even more special. The audience were wonderful; a pleasure to perform to and lovely to chat to before and after. It was a brilliant day!” – Mryna
“Thank you so much for a fantastic day at Wormsley – it was really unforgettable! Poppy had such a lovely time, and it was a very special occasion for her” – Angie McGhee, Parent
