Founding Trustee Jessica Brennan retires from Board

In June we said goodbye to Founding Trustee Jessica Brennan.  After managing BBC Young Musician and setting up the Barbican’s Youth Orchestra, one of Jess’s roles as Trustee was to lead the Charity’s Grants Committee overseeing the awards application process.  We are delighted that she has offered to continue to work with the Future Talent team in this area.

“Few things in life have given me as much pleasure as working with my fellow Trustees, and in particular Katharine Kent, to help nurture young musicians through this wonderful charity.  I’m so proud of how we have grown since 2004, identifying and developing the full potential of so many young players.  Playing even a small part in their musical future is something I will treasure and I look forward to paying for tickets to see lots of them performing on our biggest stages in the years to come.  I wish all my fellow Board members good luck in taking the organisation onwards and upwards!”

Trustee Ralph Kerr has also decided to step down from the Board but will remain a keen supporter of the Charity’s work.  We would like to thank both Jess and Ralph for their dedication and commitment to Future Talent.

Francesca Filippini Pinto, General Manager of Christie’s South Kensington, is our newest Trustee to join the Board, having worked in the arts and investment banking sectors.

“As somebody who benefited from free music education at an early age, I feel passionately about Future Talent’s mission to support musically gifted young people who may not otherwise be able to develop their talents.”
