The Future Talent Coombs Scholarship was established in 2007, in memory of the Charity’s first Administrator, Lucy Coombs who tragically died that same year. Lucy had been with Future Talent from its inception in 2004 and her enthusiasm and dedication during that period of growth, laid the foundations that have enabled us to get to where we are today.

The purpose of the award is to provide funding for exceptionally talented young musicians of any genre aged between 16 and 18 who are in transition from full-time education to music specialism. The award is given to cover costs to enable recipients to make this leap and to progress with their musical education and continue into a subsequent career.

2010 marks the opening of nominations for the first Coombs Scholar.

Before making an application please read the guidelines, which may be able to answer any questions you might have.  Please be aware that applications are means tested, and require some financial records from the parent or guardian.  Unfortunately we are unable to consider an application where this information is not declared.
