Future Talent Musicians perform at Buckingham Palace

On 5 May, six Future Talent Musicians had the unique opportunity to perform at Buckingham Palace.  Ezo, Willard, Eden and Future Talent Alumnus Roman formed a quintet alongside Future Talent Mentor Clifton Harrison, and performed Allegro Vivo from Luigi Boccherini’s String Quintet in D Major before Willard played a cello duet with Future Talent Patron Guy Johnston.

A folk set was performed by violinist Billy, accompanied by blues guitarist Ramon Goose, which included Road to Errogie by Adam sutherland, Catharsis by Amy Cann and Tam Lin/ The Glasgow Reel by Davey Arthur.  And Sebastian played a piano solo Fruhlingslied by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.

We also welcomed back Future Talent Alumni and Ambassadors Joy BeckerJoshua Batty and the first Coombs Scholar Toby Hughes, accompanied by guest pianist Ben Dawson.

There were special performances by The Choristers of King’s College Choir, Cambridge, who sang Charles Villiers Standford’s  A Song of Wisdom from the Bible Songs, and Harewood artist and soprano Rhian Lois.

“Thank you so much for the fantastic opportunities to perform at the RNCM and Buckingham Palace!  It was a great experience for me to meet new people and play in different atmospheres!”
